Historic gorge (chine) running from the upper part of Shanklin Old Village down onto the beach. Filled with flora and fauna as well as a natural waterfall. Illumitaed at night in the summer months. Dog Friendly- Dogs allowed if kept on a lead.

See the famous needles set out to sea and the coloured sand at Alum Bay. Try the chairlift down to the beach, or some of the rides in the park. Dogs are permitted onto all external areas of the park and onto the beach. They are not permitted in any internal building with the exception of hearing assistance and guide dogs. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
There are several nearby walks including the coastal walk from the Hotel to Bonchurch and on the Ventnor, or the sea front walk from the hotel along to the nearby town of Sandown.
